Who we are
Shawn and Chapa Ginder missionaries to Vienna Austria, serving on staff at one of the largest churches in Vienna. Shawn is an American who responded to God’s call to serve full time in mission’s in Austria in Sept. 2005. Chapa is from the country of Sir Lanka, she has studied in Australia to make a career in singing for several years before coming to Austria in central Europe. In her pursuit of singing for a living she ends up in Vienna and through her singing friends finds the Lord at Vienna Christian Center.
Chapa was then mentored and discipled through the ministry of Vienna Christian Center and began volunteering in the church. In 2005 when Shawn arrived in Vienna he began working out of the same office as Chapa and in Sep. 2006 Shawn and Chapa were joined together in marriage and have continued to serve the Lord together in the ministry at Vienna Christian Center.
Shawn is an assistant pastor in the International congregation of Vienna Christian Center, working with 55 cell groups leaders, directing the 9 month discipleship training called the School of Leaders, working in the communications dept. for the church, leading a book table ministry, and heavily involved in all aspects of the churches vision.
